Our story
We started in 2021, as there was a clear need for small business owners to get a better understanding and control of their finances.
The pandemic showed us the importance of running businesses that are financially resilient. However, many owners don't have the financial support to prepare for future challenges or capitalise on potential opportunities.
Scotch Accounting is a chartered accountancy practice, but we don't just do accounts, tax returns and bookkeeping, instead we provide proactive services to help owners make sense of their numbers, plan for the future, and achieve their goals.
Our aim is to give our clients financial clarity and confidence through the simplicity and transparency of our approach.

About the founder
Scotch Accounting is led by Patrick Scotchmer FCA, a chartered accountant with over 15 years finance experience.
He trained in a big-four accountancy practice, before moving into various senior roles in the financial services and media sectors.
He’s managed significant projects, and led both small and large finance teams, and now wants to share his expertise and best practice with small business owners.
